The Safe Village Project
According to the field studies carried out by Ahl Masr Foundation, one of the major causes of burn accidents is the absence of any security and safety precautions, especially in the poorest areas, in addition to the lack of awareness and knowledge of fire prevention and first aid.
In order to achieve our vision and prevent burn accidents in villages and hamlets, we launched the Safe Village program in 2015 which includes the following:
-Replace thatched roofs and build fireproof safe surfaces instead.
-Install water supply pipes in houses, as well as a main water source for the village to help firefighters put out fires.
-Secure electrical wiring.
